1949 Claremont Football Club was on tour by train on the trans-line. The squad called it the “Gibson Express” and a photo of the train and tour members Headon, Chatel, Cordin, Stewart and King Billie.
Claremont Football Club had arranged for a team of players and officials to tour through Kalgoorlie, Launceston, Hobart and Melbourne and back to Perth. The group went by train and plane for the tour and these photos were taken by Jack Reeves who labelled and kept them and later handed them to his daughter.
