In 1949 the Claremont Football Club sent a team away to go through Kalgoorlie, Launceston, Hobart and Melbourne to Perth.  The group went by train and plane for the tour and these photos were taken by Jack Reeves who labelled and kept them and later handed them to his daughter.

While in Tasmania in both Launceston and Hobart the players and officials were taken on a sightseeing tour which included the snow fields.  To a lot of the group this was the first time they had seen snow and started the customary snow fights.
