2009, May 11, The West Australian, article headline ” This one take the cake for old Tiger”. This story has a photograph of Inspirational Matt Orzel who started the season in the reserves and sparked Claremont with two great goals in the first quarter of the league game.
The story is of his 177 WAFL matches the latest is among Jaxon Crabb’s most enjoyable. Crabb was not the star of Claremont’s win over Perth but in terms of his team’s overall performance there are few in his 13 years to give him more enjoyment. The past 2 weeks had seen the Coach sacked and then the following week to fail to win there first game by one point. An inspirational speech by Clancy Rudeforth 10 days ago has regalvanised this team. Players who played well were Andrew Ruck, Luke Blackwell, Matt Orzel, Ryan Jackson and Clancy Rudeforth.
