1992, August 12, West Australian, Story and photo “Tigers rover hoping for AFL scouts’ attention”. Also photo of Brendan Green trying his hand at making hamburgers. Tigers rover Brendan Green has been burning in the last month, but his father is happy that he is doing that on the football field and not at work. Green, a carpenter has been unable to find employment in his trade since finishing a four year’s apprenticeship, so he has been helping his father who is the general manager of a hamburger outlet. Personal pride for games goes on the line to win and because a number of AFL scouts would be watching these games and he wants to impress them.
