Gerard Neesham guides Claremont to win the Preliminary final and into the Grand Final with South Fremantle. Claremont had a devastating first half where they skipped away to a lead of 48 points but East Fremantle drew to 12 points at the 20 minute mark of the last quarter. Claremont then kicked three goals to seal the match. The player of the match was Scott Rowland who with Gerard Neesham steading the tigers to win this final. Other good players were Mark Hann, Ben Allan, Dale Kickett and Kevin Mitchell.
